Science Department News Corner
Update August 2007
The members of the LHS Science Department have been busy lately! Along with their regular teaching duties members of the department have been working hard on improving the LHS Science Curriculum and attending confernces to broaden their knowledge. This summer almost the entire department attended a Maine Tree Foundation sponsored "Teacher Tree Tour". The purpose of this great 4 day conference is to further teacher's knowledge of Maine's Forest Products Industry. This conference also familiarizes teachers with the Project Learning Tree curriculum. This offers experiential methods for teaching forestry in today's classrooms. We all had a great learning experience at this conference.
